Use of Coloured Rods.

When children are really young they explore their environment. They spot things that might not be remotely interesting to an adult and explore its properties. They examine things, handle them, put them in their mouths and then try and manipulate them to see what they can do. They roll things, throw things and stack objects to see what happens.
For some children this early developmental stage might have been delayed for a variety of reasons. Many children in our schools will still benefit from just playing
